Sculling race antique print. On 18th. May 1867 ‘The Illustrated London News’ carried this woodblock engraving with the caption “The Great Boat-Race at Newcastle-on-Tyne: Finish of the Race at Lemington Point.” The race was between Henry Kelley and Robert Chambers for the Championship of the World. A nice clean print in very good condition save for a crease down the centre where folded. Paper size 16 x 11 inches.
