Syria antique map published c.1863 in the Weekly Dispatch Atlas showing the region of Aleppo and the Kurdish mountains. Drawn Engraved and Lithographed by Edward Weller, F.R.G.S. Printed by Day & Son Lithographers to Queen Victoria. Paper measures approx. 19 x 13.25 inches. Original hand-colouring. A nice clean map without any foxing (light crease across centre where ‘paper-boy’ folded the newspaper!) NOTE: Although this is the north sheet of two Syria maps they DO NOT join!
