Carte de la Coste Orientale d'Afrique (East Africa Coast) antique map dated 1740. Original antique map with later added colour by Jacques-Nicolas Bellin 1703-1772. Bellin was among the most important mapmakers of the eighteenth century. A French hydrographer and cartographer, he worked for the French Hydrographic Department. A nice map tightly trimmed on the left.
