Temple Island near Henley-on-Thames Oxfordshire antique print. The island is located on the Remenham bank of the River Thames at the start of the Henley Royal Regatta course. It was originally built as a fishing lodge for Fawley Court, a nearby historic house owned by the Freeman family. Original steel engraving by William Tombleson published in 1840 from ” Eighty Picturesque Views on the Thames and Medway.” Paper size approx. 10.25 x 8 inches. Very good condition.
