Newmarket antique map with a Diagram of the County Boundary between Cambridge and Suffolk and the Urban Sanitary District Boundary. A dotted line shows the recommended transfer of land from Suffolk to Cambridgeshire (at the time of this map the town of Newmarket was split between the two counties.) Ordnance Survey map by R. Owen Jones, Royal Engineer, produced for the Local Government Boundary Commission Report, 1888. A nice clean map with usual folds. Approx paper size 13.5 x 17.5 inches. A rare item.
