Hyde Cheshire antique map showing the County Boundary, the Borough & Urban Sanitary District Boundary and proposed changes to the Poor Law Union Boundary. Now in Greater Manchester, the map includes: Derbyshire, Lancashire, Dukinfield, Stockport, Mottram, Stalybridge, Denton, Tintwistle, Chadkirk, Ashton, AshtonunderLyne. A rare Ordnance Survey map by Robert Owen Jones, Royal Engineer, produced for the Local Government Boundary Commission Report, 1888. Paper size approx. 14 x 10.5. Brown staining to edges of paper, with binding holes to right of map beyond printed area (see scan.) A scarce item.
