The capture of Guy Fawkes in the vaults of Parliament in an attempt to blow it up. “The Seizing of Guy Fawkes who was going to blow up the Parliament House, in the reign of James the first, 1606,” engraved by Thornton after a picture by Wale. Antique copper plate engraving published in London for “The New, Complete, and Universal History, Description, and Survey of the Cities of London and Westminster” by William Thornton, c1784. Original engraving in nice condition. Paper size approx 10 x 15 inches.
