Beverston Castle. Antique print of Beverston Castle, also known as Beverstone Castle or Tetbury Castle, which was constructed as a medieval stone fortress and is situated in the village of Beverston, Gloucestershire, England. The castle was founded in 1229 by Maurice de Gaunt. Antique copper-plate engraving dated in the plate June 12; 1785. Size of engraved area approx. 5x6ins. Shadows do not appear on the original! A rare print in very good condition.
