Charlton Manor House London antique print published in 1801 in Thomas Pennant's 'Journey from London to the Isle of White'. Charlton Manor House was built between 1607 and 1612 for Sir Adam Newton, who was tutor to Henry, Prince of Wales - the eldest son of James I. It is one of the finest surviving Jacobean manor houses in England. Paper size 12.95" x 9.75" (310 x 240mm). A scarce Georgian antique print. Note: Shadow on scanned image does not appear on the original which is in EXCELLENT condition.
