Cooling Castle, here Cowling Castle, antique print. The castle is a 14th-century quadrangular castle in the village of Cooling, Kent on the Hoo Peninsula about 6 miles north of Rochester. Original copper-plate engraving by Francis Grose, published in ‘The Antiquities of England and Wales,’ dated in the plate 20th. May, 1784. Paper size approx. 10.75 x 7 inches. Excellent condition with nice margins. .
