New Royal Exchange Engraved by John Charles Varrall (1794-1855) from an original study by the landscape painter Charles Marshall. Originally produced for the part-work “Select Illustrated Topography of Thirty Miles Round London” (London : 1837-1838). A busy London scene featuring an horse drawn omnibus and pedestrians, with the facade of the Bank of England in the background. Paper size approx. 10.5 x 8 inches (270x200mm.) Fair condition with foxing marks, mostly beyond the engraved area.
