Contains details of Northamptonshire’s representation in the House of Commons together with extracts from the 1861 Census on aspects of Northamptonshire life including: Area, Physical Geography, Parliamentary Divisions, Population of towns, Education, Crime, Births Marriages and Deaths (includes the number of illegitimate births!) Original hand-colouring. Engraved by John Dower and published by Cassell, Petter & Galpin in 1864. Paper size 18.75 x 13.25. Binding holes at side of paper reaching margin of printed area top left (see scan.)
