Rochester Castle stands on the east bank of the River Medway in Rochester, Kent. Original copper-plate engraving by Francis Grose showing the castle and Rochester Cathedral. Published in ‘The Antiquities of England and Wales,’ dated in the plate 25th. August, 1784. Paper size approx. 10.75 x 7 inches. Excellent condition with nice margins, very small foxing spot top left of image (see scan.) A scarce item.
