Original hand-coloured antique aquatint of the interior of Tattersall’s Horse Repository, dated in the plate, 1809. At the time of this print, Tattersall’s was located at Hyde Park Corner. Here thorough-bred horses were sold at auction. Dimensions of the print from the plate mark are approx. 10×8 inches. A nice bright, clean example of Ackermann’s work. A little foxing (a couple of mm) on publishers details. Some creasing of paper beyond engraved area. Print has full margins (with text included) which are not captured by the scan.
