Thetford Priory is a Cluniac monastic house in Norfolk, England. One of the most important East Anglian monasteries, it was founded in 1103 by Roger Bigod, 1st Earl of Norfolk, and dedicated to Our Lady. Antique copper-plate engraving of Priory Old House, Thetford, Norfolk by Francis Grose, dated in the plate 11th. February, 1784. Paper size approx. 10.75 x 8 inches. Engraved area 5 x 6 inches. A rare item in very good condition.
