Waverley Abbey was the first Cistercian abbey in England. Founded in 1128 by William Giffard, Bishop of Winchester, it is located in Farnham, Surrey, Antique copper-plate print from ‘The Antiquities of England and Wales’ by Francis Grose, dated in the plate1785. Size of engraved area approx. 5x6 inches. Paper size approx. 10 x 8. A scarce item in excellent condition.
